At Aliwal-North Primary School, homework in the Intermediate Phase (Grade 4 to 7) is regarded as reinforcement of the day’s work, as well as an opportunity to calmly complete any unfinished class assignments. 

At the beginning of the school year, each learner receives a special Alies homework file, which contains important information about our school. Homework in the Intermediate Phase is given for the next period of a specific subject and is written down on the date on which it must be completed. 

In the Foundation Phase, class teachers expect parents to assist their children and to ensure that homework tasks are completed daily. In this phase, homework is also written under the following day, indicating when the tasks must be completed.
