ONS-GEE-OM LANDSDIENSKLUB:
By die afgelope Landsdiensmiddag het ons gewerk dat die stoom trek. Ons nuwelinge, die Graad 3 maats, het geleer hoe om proppies te sorteer vir ons proppieprojek. Hierdie aktiwiteit het weer ons leerders gemotiveer om bewus te wees van proppies wat rondlê en herwin kan word.
Our Grade 4 members made beautiful spring inspired cards using paint, straws and stencils cut out of potatoes. Die Grade 5s continued painting the drum which will be handed over to the Aliwal Museum.
Die gr. 6 en 7 landsdienslede het weer geleentheid gekry om hulle kreatiwiteit in handvaardigheid uit te bring en te beoefen. We made photo frames and in the spirit of spring, they had to use natural objects like sticks and leaves and flowers. Elkeen het moeite gedoen om materiaal te gaan soek vir hulle raam en daar het werklik ‘n paar baie oulike rame uitgekom.
SA LANDLOOP
Die afgelope naweek het twee van ons atlete nl. Gawie van Zyl en Adanje Kotze aan die SA Landloopkampioenskappe te Middelburg, Mpumulanga deelgeneem.
A record breaking 4363 participants attended this year’s national Cross-Country championships! The largest number of athletes in the history of South African Cross-Country.
Gawie van Zyl eindig 20ste & Adanje Kotze 76ste in Suid-Afrika.
Both athletes obtained their personal best times as well.
Ons is baie trots op julle 2!
TENTPEGGING:
One of our Gr. 7 learners, Carli Oosthuizen, took part in the Rooikoppies Tentpegging competition on Saturday, 23 August 2025.
She attained the following results:
- First place: Indian File Junior Section
- First place: Junior Individual Sword
- Third place: Half section Lans
