BUFFELTJIES
On Thursday, 23 May, the u/7’s were surprised with a new set of rugby jerseys. With this surprise they played a friendly match against one another to celebrate. We want to thank all the people that were involved in getting us the jerseys and also the efforts that went into the arrangements for the jerseys. The children enjoyed the surprise and the day very much and are excited for the rest of the season.
Die o/7-rugby is met hulle eie rugby pale bederf. Baie dankie aan oom Leon, Mnr. Pieter en Mnr. Christian.

LANDSDIENS
Nog ‘n besige Landsdiensmiddag het op die 20ste Mei by LSAN plaasgevind.
Ons Graad-4 en 5 lede het hierdie week die kans gekry om hul liefde vir die natuur en arbeid uit te oefen. Hulle het hard gewerk om ons terrein se bossies uit te haal en skoon te maak.
The Grade 6 girls did a handcraft with Mrs. Sumara and Miss. Charlize. They learned how to modge podge a glass bottle using glue and beautiful serviettes. It was the Grade 6 boys’ turn to go help at our local Museum. They sanded the flower pots and watered the garden. We are very enthusiastic about this project together with Aliwal-North’s Museum!
Die Graad 7-lede het mooi Mandala-motiewe op klippe geverf. Hierdie klippe gaan in ons plaaslike museum se tuin gesit word.
LSAN BUITESPORT:
GYMKHANA – ROOIKOPPIES PUNTEBYEENKOMS
Twee van LSAN se leerders, Carli Oosthuizen en Isabella Joubert, het op 18 Mei aan die Rooikoppies Puntebyeenkoms naby Lady Grey deelgeneem.
Hulle vaar goed in die afdelings halfseksie & seksie swaard, seksie “lance” en “Indian file lance”. Hulle behaal ook verskeie 1ste, 2de en 3de plekke in hierdie afdelings.
Baie geluk aan hierdie meisies. Ons is baie trots op julle waagmoed en dissipline om aan ‘n sport soos Gymkhana deel te neem.
LUGGEWEERSKIET – PRYSSKIET 4
Die Buffelskuts het 17-18 Mei aan prysskiet 4 by Hoërskool Sentraal deelgeneem. Die uitslae was as volg:
o/14-Afdeling:
Frieda-Marie Labuscagne behaal ‘n 2de plek uit 62 skuts met 829 punte. Sy ontvang ook ‘n silwer medalje vir hierdie prestasie.
Abigail Mostert behaal ‘n 23ste plek uit 62 skuts met 695 punte.
Ons is baie trots op ons Buffelskuts met hulle uitstekende uitslae.
CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE #3
The 3rd round of The Free State Cross Country league took place on the 24th of May at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein.
Giselle Labuschange finished 13th out of 31 athletes with a time of 17 minutes and 13 seconds. She participated in the 3km for girl’s u/11.
Well, done Giselle. We are very proud of your constant improvement in your first season of participation.
