Op Vrydag, 10 Mei 2024, het die Vrystaat Platteland Laerskole rugbyspanne hul truie en wedstryddrag vir die komende seisoen ontvang.
Dit was ‘n spoggeleentheid, aangebied deur Staatspresident Swart Skool op Brandfort. Die geleentheid is gekenmerk deur ‘n atmosfeer waar jong spelers se liefde vir rugby eerste gestel word, waarlik ‘n geleentheid om op trots te wees.

These players also had the opportunity to represent the Free State Country Districts Rugby teams on Saturday, 11 May 2024 in various matches. Matches were played against teams from the North West Province, KOSH-district and the Free State, all with mixed results, in our favour and against.

RISING STARS TENNIS TOERNOOI TE CRADOCK
Sondag 12 Mei, was 16 van ons tennisspelers bevoorreg om die geleentheid te kry om aan die Rising Stars toernooi te kon deelneem. Dit was verseker een van die beste tennisdae a.g.v ‘n wonderlike tennis atmosfeer wat deur die dag geheers het. Daar was baie sterk kompetisie, maar steeds het ons spelers hulle beste gespeel en elke wedstryd ten volle geniet.

Dinsdag, 14 Mei 2024, het Laerskool Aliwal-Noord weer kragte teen Balmoral Girls’ Primary School te Queenstown gemeet.
Die meisies het die wedstryde terdeë geniet en baie goed gevaar.
All games were played in good spirit, with all the players showing good sportsmanship, both on and off the field.

Aliwal se meisies het hul beste gegee en het gemengde welslae behaal.

RUGBY TEEN VOLKSKOOL, SATERDAG 18 MEI 2024.
Laerskool Volkskool besoek LSAN met ses rugbyspanne.
The Aliwal players were met with tough oppositions and unfortunately the u/9 B team lost 46/14 to their rivals.
ANPS u/9 team put up a gallant fight, but in the end, Volkskool was too strong for us and we lost the game 12 points to 0.
Beide die o/11 A- en B-span is te sterk vir hulle teenstanders en behaal oorwinnings van 22/5 en 20/15 onderskeidelik. Mooi gespeel manne!!
The u/13 B team surprised everyone with a 20/15 win over their opponents. Well done guys, it was a well-deserved win.
Die groot wedstryd waarna almal uitgesien het, was die o/13A wedstryd. Dit was hard van die begin af, maar die Alies het net te veel skietgoed gehad en wen die wedstryd op die einde baie gemaklik met 33 punte teenoor 7.

NETBAL TEEN VOLKSKOOL
Die afgelope naweek het LSAN hulle eerste tuiswedstryd op ons splinternuwe netbalbane gehad. Alies het teen Laerskool Volkskool gespeel. It was a wonderful day of excellent netball.

LANDSDIENS: ONS-GEE-OM-KLUB
13 Mei 2024 was ‘n vol maar lekker Landsdiensmiddag, met baie verskeie aktiwiteite wat plaasgevind het.
Die toetsreeks is om die draai en almal kort ñ mooi pennehouertjie vir hulle lesenaars. The Grade 4 & 5 Land Service members decorated recycled tins to be used for this purpose.
“Museums teach us about our past and open our minds to new ideas.” Our Gr.7 boys did their part in helping the museum in Aliwal North clean their garden. The “We Care Land Service Club” showed their appreciation of our heritage by carrying stones and flower pots out the garden. Our Land Service members are going to paint the stones and flower pots for the museum.
LSAN se sterk Gr.7-seuns was almal baie opgewonde om die museum se tuin te gaan skoonmaak. Hulle het gevoel hulle maak ñ verskil deur ons dorp se museum te help. Die Ons gee om Landsdiensklub is baie bly om hande met die museum te vat en om ons hulp aan te bied waar dit nodig is.
Ons graad 6 en 7 landsdieners het hulle liefde vir arbeid en die natuur uitgeleef.
They brought some gardening tools to work in the school’s garden.
Hulle het al die onkruid, bossies en grassies uitgetrek.
The learners did a great job and the school grounds look neat.
Van die leerders het ook begin om ‘n stukkie grond skoon te maak en om te spit vir ons groentetuin projek wat landsdiens saam die Alies ATKV tak beplan.
