Laerskool Aliwal-Noord se meisies en damespersoneel het almal na ‘n spesiale boodskap geluister. Ons wil mekaar gedurende die jaar met liefde hanteer en mekaar opbou.
“Ek dring aan… Verdra mekaar in Liefde” is die tema vir die Wêreldbiddag vir vroue 2024
“I beg you, bear with one another in love” is the theme for the Women’s World Day of Prayer 2024.

We prayed for all the special woman in our life’s and all around the world. We celebrated being a woman and were encouraged to be the light for one another. May this be a year where we as woman show love to one another and celebrate, support, and motivate each other.
We at Aliwal North Primary School wish every woman a happy Women’s World Day of Prayer.
6 & 7 LANDSDIENSKAMP / LAND SERVICE CAMP
Die afgelope naweek het ons graad 6 en 7 landsdieners hulle jaarlikse klubkamp by River Destiny Lodge gehad.
The weekend was filled with a bunch of fun activities, like volleyball, swimming, hiking over a hanging bridge, boeresport, potjiekos competition, dancing, praise and worship, visiting the Gariep Dam and handcrafting.
Daar was 59 leerders wat die kamp, saam met 5 toegewyde Landsdiensonderwysers bygewoon het. Dit was ‘n heerlike kamp waar die kinders nuwe vaardighede kon leer en nuwe uitdagings kon aanpak.

o.7 RUGBY
On the 2nd of March ANPS sent two u/7 teams to participate at the Fichardtpark Primary School’s rugby day. This day was extra special, because it was these Grade 1’s first ever rugby day.
Albei spanne het baie goed gespeel en het net een wedstryd elk verloor. Die Buffeltjies A-span het drie wedstryde gespeel, waar hulle twee gewen het, albei met ‘n telling van 2 – 1, maar hulle het ongelukkig hul laaste wedstryd verloor. Die Buffeltjies B-span het net twee wedstryde gespeel. Hulle het een gewen met ‘n telling van 5 – 4 en hulle het ongelukkig die ander wedstryd verloor.
For their first time playing a rugby match, these young players did very well. They are very excited for the rest of the year, filled with many challenges awaiting them.
LSAN SKAAK / CHESS
On Monday 26 February, Karel Theron Primary School came to Aliwal with 8 of their chess players to play chess against 8 of our own. Both teams displayed great amounts of mental prowess in all of their matches.
Unfortunately, the result of the day did not go our way as we unfortunately lost 21 ½ to 10 ½. Even though we lost, the ANPS players tried their best and enjoyed the day very much, they are excited for their next match.
Op Maandag 26 Februarie het Karel Theron Primêr ons met 8 van hulle skaakspelers kom besoek om teen 8 van ons eie spelers te kom skaak speel. Die wedstryde was baie kompeterend en die leerders het almal baie mooi gespeel. Ongelukkig het die uitslae van die dag nie in ons guns getel nie. LSAN verloor 21 ½ – 10 ½. Al het LSAN verloor, het die leerders die dag baie geniet en hulle sien uit na hulle toekoms in skaak.
