Op Vrydag, 15 Mei 2026, het 17 van ons landloopatlete met trots aan Liga 2 in Bloemfontein deelgeneem. Dit was ’n heerlike sonskyndag — perfek vir hardloop. Vir sommige van ons atlete, veral ons klein o/8’s, was dit ook hul eerste liga.
Emotions and nerves were high for some, but our more experienced runners quickly took the others under their wing and provided calmness where needed.
The athletes ran exceptionally well and achieved good times. Their hard work was once again clearly visible on the course.

Op Saterdag, 16 Mei 2026, het Karel Theron van Middelburg teen Laerskool Aliwal-Noord kom netbal speel. Dit was ‘n heerlike dag, met goeie netbal en sterk kompetisie. Dankie aan Karel Theron wat die dag saam met ons kom deel het en julle goeie sportmanskap kom wys het.

LSAN’s young rugby teams took on Karel Theron Primary on Saturday, 16 May 2026, on their home field here in Aliwal North. With supporters cheering loudly from the sidelines, there was an exciting atmosphere throughout the day as the players gave their all in their respective matches
Die o/7-span het hard probeer teen ’n sterk Karel Theron-span, maar moes ongelukkig die knie buig met ’n 0–4 nederlaag. Ten spyte van die uitslag het die jong spelers goeie deursettingsvermoë getoon en waardevolle ervaring opgedoen.
The u/9 team brought plenty of excitement with an excellent 7–0 victory over Karel Theron. From the start, the team played with confidence and displayed strong teamwork and defence to keep their opponents under pressure.
Die o/11-span het die dag afgesluit met ’n indrukwekkende vertoning en het ’n sterk 24–14 oorwinning behaal teen Karel Theron. Die spelers het goeie aanvallende rugby gespeel en met vasberadenheid en energie tot die einde toe druk toegepas.
The matches once again highlighted the pride, sportsmanship, and fighting spirit of LSAN’s rugby players. Supporters can certainly look forward to more exciting rugby as the season continues.
