Eisted@Alies 2025 Wow Evening
It was a beautiful evening at Aliwal North Primary School as we hosted the prestigious Eisted@Alies 2025 Wow Evening. The hall was decorated with great care and looked truly stunning. Parents, learners, teachers, and friends of the school gathered with pride to celebrate the incredible talent on display.
Baie geluk aan al die pryswenners. Elke toekenning simboliseer nie net ’n prestasie nie, maar ook die harde werk, toewyding en passie wat leerders in hul optredes en skeppings ingesit het.
The highlights of the Eisteddfod were performed once again at this wonderful evening. Guests were treated to drama, poetry, music and dance of the highest quality, as learners from Aliwal North Primary School and community showcased the gifts God has entrusted to them.
Die aand het op ’n hoogtepunt geëindig met ’n optrede deur Nachtrein. Dit was die perfekte afsluiting vir ’n aand van feesviering.
A special word of thanks goes to the staff of Aliwal North Primary who prepared the venue so beautifully, to those who managed the sound and photography, and to everyone who worked behind the scenes. Without you, this special evening would not have been possible.

While our top achievers were given the opportunity at ANPS’s Eistedd@Alies WOW evening, we would like to thank EVERY child who participated in our 21st Eisteddfod. Without you, it would never have been such a great success. From bronze to triple gold-ANPS is proud of you!
MINI – CRICKET CLINIC
On Friday, 12 September, Aliwal North Primary School proudly hosted a Mini-Cricket Clinic to kick off the new cricket season. Learners from Grade 2 and 3 – both boys and girls – took part in the exciting one-day event.
The clinic focused on introducing children to the basic skills of cricket – batting, bowling and fielding – while also laying down the important pre-skills that form the building blocks of the game. Coaches guided the learners through fun drills and activities that kept them moving, learning and laughing all afternoon.
Die kinders was vol energie en het die dag baie geniet. Hulle het met entoesiasme deelgeneem en gou gevra: “Wanneer doen ons dit weer, Juffrou?”
The atmosphere was one of excitement and positivity, with every learner getting the chance to participate and shine.
Baie dankie aan almal wat betrokke was by die reëlings en wat seker gemaak het die middag was ’n reuse sukses. With this strong start, the school looks forward to a season filled with growth, teamwork and a lot of cricket fun!
CRICKET COACHING CLINIC 12 & 13 SEPTEMBER 2025
On the weekend of 12-13 September 2025 ANPS hosted a cricket clinic for the u/9 – u/13 players. The coaches were eager to guide the players in the three basic skills of batting, bowling and fielding. We are grateful for the coaching assistance we received from parents.
Saterdagoggend het die reën ons laat skrik maar ons kon gelukkig die dag voltooi, en kon die paar spelers baie meer individuele aandag kry.
