Slippers, Sunshine and Strong Running!
On Friday, 29 May, our school’s cross-country athletes participated in another exciting league event, number 4. The day was made even more special as it was also Slipper Day at school, with learners proudly showing off their slippers before changing into their running gear.
Despite the winter season, the weather treated us to a warm and sunny afternoon — perfect conditions for cross-country running.
Our runners gave their very best on the course. They competed with determination, encouraged one another, and displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. It was wonderful to see the learners support one another while striving to achieve their personal goals.
We are incredibly proud of all 16 athletes who represented our school so well. Their dedication, positive attitudes, and willingness to give their all made it a successful and memorable day for everyone involved.

RUGBY IN ALIE-LAND
LSAN’s rugby teams welcomed Oakwood Primary to their home field in Aliwal North on Saturday, 30 May. With ideal rugby conditions, enthusiastic supporters, and players eager to represent their school, the day produced excellent rugby and impressive results
The u/9 team followed with an outstanding display, defeating their opponents 50–5. From the opening whistle, the team controlled the match through excellent teamwork, strong defence, and sharp attacking play.
The u/13 team added to the day’s success with a well-earned 34–21 victory. Although Oakwood provided strong opposition, LSAN’s players showed character, determination, and teamwork to secure the win.
It was a highly successful day for LSAN rugby, with all of the competitive teams recording victories. The players represented their school with pride, while the support from the sidelines helped create a fantastic atmosphere. The day once again highlighted the strong rugby culture and community spirit that exists within LSAN.

Baie dankie aan almal wat betrokke was by hierdie besondere projek!

ALIES ATKV-TAK
The Aliwal Museum hosted a “Night at the Museum” event. It was a magical evening during which the museum came alive with characters from Aliwal North’s history. We would like to thank our community for supporting this event so generously and for embracing it with such a positive spirit. Our ATKV club was responsible for ticket sales, the curry-and-rice stall, as well as the coffee and cold drink stall. There was also live entertainment by “de Band”, which contributed greatly to the atmosphere and success of the evening.
