LSAN HOKKIE VS CRADOCK
Dinsdag, 12 Augustus, het ons hokkieseuns kop aan kop gegaan teen Cradock. Dit was baie opwindende, dog senutergende wedstryde.
There were mixed feelings and results, but for the most part ANPS had the upper hand.
Dit was maar die 3de wedstrydgeleentheid vir baie van ons jonger spanne en hulle het ons werklik trots gemaak.

Twee afrigters, 18 spelers en 14 pa’s het Vrydagoggend, 15 Augustus 2025 op die jaarlikse toer na Jeffreysbaai vertrek.
The team participated in the annual Stulting Primary School sports day. They played three shortened matches. The team won against Ooskus Gimnasium with 15 points to 0, they lost against Gamtoosvallei 10 points to 0 and they beat Altona by 10 points to 5.
Evan Kieck is aangewys as die o/13 agterspeler van die dag en WT Kotze as die o/13 voorspeler van die dag.
Tydens die LSAN o/13 prysdeling het Iviwe Stephen, Luan Fourie, WT kotze en AJ du Plessis trofees verwerf.

u/11 DADS-AND-LADS TOUR:
Our u/11A rugby tour group participated the past weekend at the Stulting sports day in Humansdorp, the past weekend.
We had mixed results but gained enormous experience and strong relationships were built. The team showed depth, resilience and character.
Our results were as follows:
ANPS vs HS Paul Sauer 10 – 0
ANPS vs Stulting (A) 0 – 10
ANPS vs Ooskus Gim 15 – 15
Congratulations to Jayden Samson who was appointed u/11 front row player of the day.
The u/11 team were also the u/11 TEAM OF THE DAY! Well, done boys! We are proud of you!
o/9 PA-EN-SEUN:
Laerskool Stulting in Humansdorp het die afgelope naweek ’n opwindende rugby sportdag aangebied, waar Laerskool Aliwal-Noord (LSAN) se o/9-span hul merk gelaat het met puik vertonings.
Die jong manne het vier wedstryde gespeel en drie oorwinnings behaal. Hulle het sterk begin met ’n 25–0 sege oor McLahlan, daarna ’n taai stryd teen Stulting A verloor met 0–5, maar vinnig herstel met ’n 20–0 wen teen St Patrick Primary. Die dag is afgesluit met ’n stewige 20–5 oorwinning oor Ooskus Gimnasium.
As verdere beloning vir hul harde werk en spanpoging, is LSAN aangewys as die o/9-span van die dag. Boonop is Ivor Ludick vereer as die o/9 Agterspeler van die Dag – ’n prestasie wat groot trots vir hom en die skool gebring het.
Verder het die skool self ook spesiale erkennings aan die spelers toegeken:

Met drie oorwinnings uit vier wedstryde én spesiale toekennings kan Laerskool Aliwal-Noord se o/9’s met trots terugkyk op ’n suksesvolle en onvergeetlike dag in Humansdorp.
Stulting Primary in Humansdorp hosted an exciting rugby sports day this past weekend, where Aliwal North Primary School’s (LSAN) U/9 team delivered outstanding performances.
The boys played four matches, winning three. They started with a commanding 25–0 victory over McLahlan, went down narrowly 0–5 against Stulting A, bounced back with a 20–0 win against St Patrick Primary, and ended their campaign with a strong 20–5 triumph against Ooskus Gimnasium.
For their teamwork and effort, LSAN was awarded the title of u/9 Team of the Day. In addition, Ivor Ludick received the award for u/9 Backline Player of the Day, a proud achievement for him and the school.
The school also handed out their own special awards to recognise outstanding performances:

With three victories out of four matches and several individual accolades, Aliwal North Primary’s u/9 can proudly reflect on a highly successful and memorable day in Humansdorp.
MA & DOGTER TOER NA OOS-LONDEN – A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER!
Die Ma-en-Dogter toer het die afgelope naweek van 15 tot 17 Augustus plaasgevind in Oos-Londen. It was truly a weekend filled with laughter, sport and quality time together.
Mothers and daughters enjoyed special moments, from cheering next to the courts and fields, to sharing meals and fun memories. Dit was ’n geleentheid waar ma en dogter nie net sport geniet het nie, maar ook ’n sterker band gebou het.

- Hokkie / Hockey: Our girls played with great determination and walked away victorious in both matches.

- Netbal / Netball: The team also showed excellent skill and spirit, winning 3 out of 4 matches.

Dit was ’n baie suksesvolle toer, met herinneringe wat vir altyd sal bly. Mothers and daughters returned home tired but with happy hearts, knowing they had shared something special.
o/13 NETBAL & HOKKIE FONDSINSAMELING
Op Maandag, 11 Augustus, het die o/13 A Hokkie en Netbal dogters van ons skool ’n besondere geleentheid gehad om by Riverside Lodge as kelnerinne op te tree om fondse in te samel vir die Ma en Dogter-toer.
Die meisies het dit baie geniet om die gaste te bedien en deel te wees van hierdie unieke ervaring. It was not only fun, but also a great way to learn teamwork and responsibility while raising money for the tour.
Ons wil graag ’n groot dankie sê aan almal wat die aand ondersteun het en dit moontlik gemaak het. Special thanks to Riverside Lodge vir hul gasvryheid en bereidwilligheid om ons te help met hierdie fondsinsameling.
Die aand was ’n sukses en het gewys dat wanneer ons as gemeenskap saamwerk, ons groot hoogtes kan bereik.
LUGGEWEERSKIET
Jaco De Wet in Graad 5 het die afgelope naweek van 16 Aug. 2025 by Hoërskool Sentraal aan die semi-finale rondte vir die Vrystaat luggeweerskiet deelgeneem. Jaco is na die semi-finaal genooi na die finaal wat Saterdag, 23 Aug. by Fichardtpark plaasvind, waar die spanne vir die SA’s gekies sal word. Jaco de Wet is deel van Hoërskool Aliwal-Noord se o/14 span.
