hockey

The Ikan Hockey School focuses on the holistic development of every sport man or woman.  Hockey skills are practiced each week.  Small groups are formed to enable individual coaching from Grade R to Grade 7.  Our mission is to develop a love for hockey and to discover the real potential of our players and to develop it.  We have three coaches who love hockey and want to empower every learner who joins the Ikan Hockey School. Boys as well as girls of all age groups are welcome to join.

rugby

The Wolf Pack Rugby Club started recently and is going from strength to strength. Danie Kotze focusses on the young players’ individual skills, so that they can improve in their natural talent. Power, speed and fitness are the core skills which are taught because that is important in all facets of rugby.

The coaches act as mentors for every young boy, establishing special bond during the hard practices during the season.

Tennis

Tennis lessons are given by Pieter Pretorius on the school tennis courts.  It continues throughout the year.

His aim is to coach tennis from a professional view and he creates a safe environment for learning. It must be fun to learn! Technical strokes are explained, learned and practiced

THE BUFFALO AIR RIFLE TEAM

The Buffalo Air Rifle Team falls under the protection of Aliwal North High School.  Resilience, diligence and self discipline form the foundation on which our shooters build their success. The Buffalo Air Rifle Team consists of three Primary School learners and three High School learners. Practices take place three times a week at the shooting range.  The dedication and sacrifices made by these learners help to mould them into very special young people.  The team achieves very good results when they participate in different competitions.
