Ons verwelkom weer ons ou Landsdienslede, sowel as nuwe Landsdienslede by ons klub.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>After all the welcoming and the introductions we kicked off the afternoon\u2019s activities by building spirit with the singing of a few of the Land Service songs. What a joy it was to hear our Land Service songs again.<br \/>The highlight of the meeting was quite sweet, but sticky. It was our annual watermelon fight.\u00a0<br \/>Die kinders het dit baie geniet om hul eie maats rond te jaag en met die waatlemoenskille te besmeer.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Ons Landsdiensmiddag word afgesluit met die aankondiging van vanjaar se leerders wat op die Landsdiensbestuurspan gaan dien. Ons wens vir De Wet Newton, Francois Joubert, Unako Mpi, Lianie Smook en Lana Lubbe baie geluk.<br \/>Natuurlik kom die nuwe Landsdiensbestuurspan nie net wegloop sonder om deur ons tradisonele gelukwensingproses te gaan nie. Vir hul ontgroening en \/of gelukwensing het elkeen \u2018n lekker, groot, rou eier in die hare gekry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KLEURE ATLETIEK 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After two years of no athletics, preparations of the track began early in the week of 24 January so that it could be ready in time for the completion of the walk- and long distance events that took place on Thursday, 27 January.<\/p>\n<p>Donderdag, om 12;00, het die eerste volwaardige kleure-atletiekbyeenkoms sedert 2020, afgeskop. \u00a0Onder luide toejuiging van hulle onderskeie kleurspanne het die stappers en langafstandatlete in snikhete weer aan hulle onderskeie items deelgeneem.<\/p>\n<p>Even the teachers had some fun participating in the u\/13 1500m walk, to great cheers of the spectators.<br \/>Net jammer die lywe kon nie die pas volhou nie en moes hulle mekaar gereeld aflos.<br \/>\u2018n Bewolkte Vrydag het aangebreek en daar was kommer dat die byeenkoms nie betyds voor die groot re\u00ebn voltooi sou word nie.<br \/>Leerders het reeds vroeg die oggend op die wal bymekaargekom in hulle verskillende kleurgroepe. \u00a0Die rasieleiers van die verskillende kleurgroepe het die stadion binnegekom onder \u2018n groot lawaai van hulle onderskeie spanne.<\/p>\n<p>Round about 9:00, our worst fears came true. \u00a0Thunder, accompanied by lightening, started and we had to clear the track. \u00a0It started to rain and the decision was made to postpone the meeting until Monday.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday morning, an inspection of the track was made, and the decision to continue with the meeting, was made.<br \/>Alles het seepglad verloop met elke atleet wat sy of haar beste vir die span gegee het.<\/p>\n<p>Die uiteindelike wenners was die BLOUSPAN, gevolg deur die ROOISPAN, wat ook die geesbeker ingepalm het, met GEEL in die derde plek.<br \/>Thank you to all the athletes that participated and gave their best. Thanks to every parent willing to act as an official. \u00a0Without you, the day would not have been possible.<br \/>To the staff of ANPS \u2013 you are a mean team!!
