These leaders will be supported by the Alie Council of 2025.<\/p>\n

Girls: Kara de Wet, Mikhulu Huluhulu, Nina Joubert, Kgalalelo Leanya, Lia Lubbe, Sanelisiwe Ndalasi, Nika van Zyl and Mieke Vorster.<\/p>\n

Boys: Barend Botha-Arends, Josua Bothma, Luan Fourie, Evan Kieck, Junior Mohapi, Mlozi Sanda, Ricus Stapelberg and Iviwe Stephen.<\/p>\n

Hulle word ondersteun deur die koshuisprefekte van 2025: Nika van Zyl, Evan Kieck en Mlozi Sanda.<\/p>\n

Hierdie leiers het die afgelope naweek saam spandeer by River Destiny Lodge, naby Gariepdam, waar hulle die geleentheid gekry het om hul leierseienskappe te slyp.\u00a0
They showed character and creativity through challenging activities and took the time to form a working relationship with their fellow leaders.<\/p>\n

Baie sterkte met julle groot taak om LSAN en sy skoolgemeenskap te dien.<\/p>\n

ONS GROET MNR. KEANAN PEDRO! \/ WE GREET MR. KEANAN PEDRO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meneer Keanan Pedro het in Januarie 2023 as jong onderwyser by ons aangesluit. \u00a0Dit was sy eerste onderwyspos, maar tog het hy redelik ervaring opgedoen voor hy begin het. \u00a0Hy het immers in \u2018n onderwyshuis groot geword en het beslis geweet waarvoor hy hom inlaat!<\/p>\n

As a sports lover, he attended several coaching courses and also worked as a fitness instructor for a while. \u00a0This gave him knowledge of the human body, specifically muscles and muscle attachments, which none of our colleagues had.<\/p>\n

Meneer Keanan het alles wat hy gedoen het, met entoesiasme aangepak. \u00a0Of dit nou in sy geliefde Wetenskapklas, op die sportveld, op sporttoere of selfs met sy beroemde volstruisdans tydens die Kaapse Toer was!<\/p>\n

As a gifted sportsman, he particularly distinguished himself in cricket and rugby. \u00a0He was actively involved in Aliwal North club teams, which he represented and where he himself took the lead on occasion as captain.<\/p>\n

Ons wens Meneer Keanan alle voorspoed vir die res van sy onderwysloopbaan toe. \u00a0Meneer Keanan, jy was \u2018n geliefde kollega en beslis \u2018n rolmodel vir menige ALIE-leerlinge. \u00a0Ons sal jou vordering op die onderwysleer met belangstelling dophou! \u00a0Mooi loop!<\/p>\n

PIET TANDE BESOEK ALIE-LAND<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dinsdag, 28 Januarie het Piet tande in samewerking met Solidaritieit Helpende hand die skool kom besoek.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The learners were very excited to meet the big mouse teaching us more about dental hygiene.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Die aanbieder het die kinders betrek met oulike bewegings en vrae oor hoe om \u2018n tandeborsel te gebruik, en hoe gereeld en hoe lank tande geborsel moet word.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Piet tande het vir die kinders \u2018n oulike liedjie en bewegings geleer oor tandeborsel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Each learner received an apple to remind us to eat healthy food to keep our teeth strong and healthy.<\/p>\n

ALIE-LAND TENNIS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Op Dinsdag, 4 Februarie 2025, het Jaco de Wet, Philip Heyns, Kara de Wet en Natasha Weitsz aan die Inter Distrik tennistoernooi in Grahamstad deelgeneem. Distrikte wat deelgeneem het, was Nelson Mandela Bay, Sarah Baartman, Buffalo City, Joe Gqabi en Chris Hani.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hulle het dubbels en gemengde dubbels gespeel. Jaco se span eindig 4de, Philip se span 1ste en Kara en Natasha se span 3de. Hierdie spelers is verkies tot hierdie spanne, nadat hulle in November 2024 aan die Oos-Kaap tennisproewe, in Grahamstad, deelgeneem het.\u00a0<\/p>\n

ATLETIEK IN ALIE-LAND \/ ATHLETICS IN ALIE-LAND<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 31 January 2025 the Maletswai meeting for Primary Schools took place at Aliwal North Primary School!<\/p>\n

Karla Nel, set a new record for discus throw girls under 12.<\/p>\n

On 5 February 2025 the Luncedo Athletics meeting for Primary School was held at Aliwal North Primary School. \u00a0A total of 52 athletes of ANPS took part and two new records were set: \u00a0Natasha Weitsz girls under 13 in the 1500m Walk and Indivile Keyi, girls under 10 in the 75m Hurdles.<\/p>\n

The next meeting will be held on 15 February 2025 in Sterkspruit where 27 athletes will represent our school.<\/p>\n
